Week 3 – July 27-31
Discussion Questions
-
-
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, how did the people respond? What does this teach us about worshiping God?
-
Jesus was God and human. If Jesus was also human, how was his life similar to ours?
-
Jesus comes to help us. Because Jesus helped us, what can we do to help others?
-
Craft
-
- Mystery Cross – Use the pointy black stick to take off the outer layer and a beautiful colored cross will be revealed. Remember that because Jesus entered our neighborhood, our sins are forgiven and we are a new creation, just like the colorful cross!
Family Challenge

- Jesus became a human and entered our neighborhood. Jesus came to heal the sick and help the poor. God tells us to follow Jesus’ example. This week go grocery shopping with your family. Buy several non-perishable food items and donate them to the Wilson County Community Help Center or another food bank near you.

- King Hezekiah and the Israelites were going against a powerful army. They were afraid they would lose the battle, but they cried out to God and God helped them win. This week, each night before you go to bed, use the 5-Finger Prayer handout to create a bedtime prayer (see attached for handout).
